Open Journal Entry 1-19-22:

Our God is divine. Adoration is a safe haven where we can devote our time to God. We share memories and moments. Then, He takes our pure intentions of time well-spent with Him and He creates a pathway. He gives us light We see a way to live through His divine mercy and love. Adoration is divine.

One. Simple. Word.

To me, that's all it takes to realize what an important part of your life embodies. Sometimes, I think of a word all day. It could be positive or negative, but either way, it stays with me until I unravel it. How do you untangle a simple word that seems to take a toll on your mind? Momma Holly's suggestion: acrostic poetry.

An acrostic poem, in the most simple way, is taking a word and making a poem out of each first letter in the word. Now, I know my blog isn't an English course. However, I strongly encourage you to try out this uniquely easy form of writing. It is a great way to start off with easy reflections and processing emotions.

Steps:

  1. Find a word that speaks to you.

  2. Define it.

  3. Write what comes to mind for each letter. I suggest looking up synonyms for your chosen word.

  4. Reflect on it.

  5. Carry the word in your heart with a new personal understanding!

Some example words for inspiration:

Faith, Steadfastly, Honest

Fitness, Consistency, Knowledge

Seasons, Spring, Summer
