Just Wait…

Just wait for the one that loves you the only way you should be loved.

Just wait for him to dance the night away with you, because your bare feet made him wonder where you’re from.

Just wait for him to challenge you to a car kareoke battle, because he wants to know all your favorite songs.

Just wait for him to bring you flowers from the ditches, because the color yellow made him think of you.

Just wait for him to offer to walk your dog together, because he loves anything you decide to love.

Just wait for him to cook you a meal while you are away at work, because he knows you’ve had a long day.

Just wait for him to make you a secret snack box under the bed, because he knows you get hungry at night.

Just wait for him to shower you in compliments when you feel your worst, because all he sees is your best.

Just wait for him to love your family and friends  the way you love them, because he knows how much they mean to you.

Just wait for him to support you in every dream you have, because he believes you can achieve anything you put your mind to.

Just wait…

If I could have told myself these things over and over again throughout the years, maybe… just maybe… I would have listened to myself.

Brianna, just wait. Someone will love you the way you are meant to be loved. The only way you should be loved.

Selfless. Truthfully. Wholeheartedly. Nonstop. Romantically. But most of all faithfully.

Just freaking wait. Wait til you see the man God has in store for you. The love he has planned. The love you’ve tried so hard for, will come with time.

Kenneth has never made me wait. Never made me wonder. Never made me feel unwanted. Never boring. Never less than God’s creation.

And, if I had only known, I would have waited. I wouldn’t have forced love with all my efforts. Wouldn’t have lost hope in my heart’s path. I would have simply waited. Because, Kenneth, you are worth all the time it took.
